I met someone new recently, and she’s someone you’re going to want to meet. My friends over at HP recently introduced me to the ever alluring HP Spectre, and boy, did she do a number on my heart. I haven’t known her for very long, but the few short weeks she has been in my life have been a game changer, so I wanted to share just a few details about my first impression and why I’m so obsessed with Lady Spectre.
Little Miss Slim //
When I googled the HP Spectre, one of the major features I liked about it was how thin it it because I travel a lot and clunky carry on is no bueno. I was definitely excited about a smaller, lighter computer, but let me just tell you from first-hand experience, nothing will prepare you for how thin this computer is. It’s insane how thin and lightweight it is. I’m thinking she runs on magic and wishes because there’s no way a hard drive or motherboard could possibly fit in this girl, like where does she put it all?
All That Glimmers //
There’s no logical reason to have a laptop that matches with my wardrobe and accessories, and yet now that I have one that does, it seems kind of essential to have a computer to coordinate with everything, including my office decor. I think the fact that she is a pristine picture of black and metallic luxury actually improves my whole creative process when I’m working. It’s also a major bonus to have a matching incredibly thin mouse and laptop case to go with her. Everything is all just so architecturally sophisticated and pleasing + matchy-matchy.
Talk Techy to Me //
Even though I like things to be pretty on the outside, I am also a super computer geek on the inside. I’m the one who everyone in the family calls when they have tech questions because I am officially at computer nerd status. When I reviewed the performance specs of madam Spectre, I practically went weak in the knees. Notable qualities to swoon over include a 6th generation intel core i processor, 2×2 wifi antenna, PCIe-based SSD storage, and three multi-use USB Type-C™ ports which all support charging, high-speed data transfer, and external displays. So yah, it’s not just what’s on the outside that counts, especially when you have so much to boast about on the inside.
But I’m a Mac User //
To all you Mac users, let me be honest in admitting that as a longtime Mac user, I was skeptical about trying out something different. I was mainly worried about not being able to sync all of my apps and info across devices. I am happy to report that I instantly found all my usual apps available, which were all quick to install on my Spectre. I also REALLY love how I can customize my computer layout for quick access to my most frequently used apps and pages. It’s also an insanely fast computer, so it starts up quickly and toggles from one program to another like a smooth operator. So I guess I am saying my girl Spectre here shouldn’t be overlooked or you might just be missing out.
In short, I am really happy with my HP Spectre, and I am looking forward to a long friendship with my new bestie. I will definitely keep you posted in the future about our relationship status and all the fun qualities she has that I have yet to discover.
