It seems like I have been testing out and reviewing a lot of products the last month or so, and I thought it might be helpful to share the best winter beauty products I have discovered.
It is kind of my job to learn and experiment with all the fun cosmetics out there so I can give my full and honest opinion—aka, I buy it, try it and then tell you if you need it or not.
Here are the best of the best of my latest beauty discoveries.
I mean, lip crayons are just about as hot as Adam Lavine right now, but the difference with these lip crayons is all in the tip. I have a pretty sharp cupid bow and applying darker colors is especially frustrating sometimes, but the tips on these crayon are insanely precise and totally eliminate the need for lip liner.
Airbrush Makeup Brushes by PUR Cosmetics
Your makeup only ever works as good as your brushes perform. This is is mega smooth and soft, which means my makeup goes on smooth and seamless! This brush set is literally blending perfection.
If you don’t like to have a lot of makeup (minimalism is IN), then I HIGHLY recommend this set. It’s got all the basics you need and then some.
This is the sort of palette I grab for a trip because it includes my go-to colors for shadows, plus blush, highlighter, bronzer, mascara, and lips! Some of my favorite shadow contouring is done with this palette, btw.
I normally wear Jamberry nail wraps because they help thicken up my natural nails, but I have had acrylics since we moved (may never go back to natural again!).
Anyway, I just get nude acrylics, and I can paint them or wear Jamberry wraps, and I have found the Butter London lacquer goes on the smoothest and lasts the longest on my acrylics.
When I was looking for the perfect Christmas red over the holidays, I discovered the smooth gloriousness of Lancome lipstick. Just trust me on this one, super yummy!
My skin just really loves all IT Cosmetic products. I love that this is full coverage and comes packed with untagging magic for my skin. Also, when you pair it with the bye bye pores finishing powder, it totally makes your skin look baby smooth and lasts all day.
I grabbed a few Morphe Palettes on Overstock.com during their big Black Friday sale, and this blush palette, plus the 35N palette, are totally rocking my world.
I got a set of striping tape after bingeing on the #nailart hash tag on Instagram. I finally got around to playing with them because my nails were straight plain for 2 weeks.
This tape stuff is soooooo cool! It's intended to use a stencil, and then you add polish and peel the tape off, but I put them on my plain nails and did a clear gel coat on top to hold the tape down, and I LOVE the result.
My tips to using this tape are to clean your nail beds and hands with dish soap to degrease them so the tape sticks better, and then put the top coat on ASAP so the tape doesn’t lift. Do one hand at a time, and then top coat before you do the second hand.
Ok, wew! That was a lot of favorites! Let me know if you try anything and how you like 'em! Also, did you like this post in general?
