I’ve been dying to share some of my latest projects I made using my Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette Studio Designer Edition. I pulled it out back in May/June to make some stuff for girls camp and I honestly haven’t been able to put it away. The Silhouette Cameo is capable of so much and now that I am using the Studio Designer Edition I can pretty much customize my own projects from start to finish. One of the projects I made for camp was shirts for all the girls in our group. I found some darling

I don’t always get the chance to answer everyone’s questions on Instagram and Facebook so I’ve compiled a list of lip colors I use the most for those of you who have been asking about my lipsticks choices on IG and FB. I know I have been long over do for a post and wanted to share info I know so many of you have been waiting for! Below you will find a links to my top picks and why I love them!

I was asked to meet with Studio 5 Coordinators to design 3 segments, for KSL Channel 5, in Utah. They were looking for segments with true Whippy Cake flair, based on spring trends and new looks. This is not the first time I have worked with them, and want to do my best to keep it fresh! I presented them with ideas for more than 3 segments! And we have some future appearances on the calendar! Working with Studio 5 is such a fun opportunity. Live TV? This country girl had

I was contacted by the cool ladies at Cents of Style to do a shoot, and be featured as a guest editor for April! It is such an honor, and come on now, it’s a pleasure to do projects like this. All access to Cents of Style’s vast inventory? Yes please! And they were willing to offer a discount code for all my friends that follow Whippy Cake for the month of April. Getting to know this company has been so fun, and gives me one more reason to visit Utah more often!
I was also able to

Still can’t believe it even as I type this but I am undeniably pregnant with our 4th child. Eeeeik! I seem to remember a little outbreak on my Facebook feed 2 months ago over a picture of me looking pregnant in a black dress only I wasn’t pregnant and I certainly didn’t think I would be anytime soon. Jokes on me!
I was for sure a little shell shocked when I saw the test with the word “pregnant” spelled out across the screen all permanent and definitive. I had to giggle a little as I held

I don’t post a whole lot about my private life or relationships, more specifically my relationship with the Boss. As an adult I have learned that real relationships are difficult and sometimes ugly. I’ve never wanted to mislead anyone into thinking we are this fairytale couple but I also didn’t want to share the details of all the good, the bad, and the ugly so I have left the details out for the most part. This year is shaping up to be one of our best years as a couple. I am so excited to be in

I have always loved Coco Chanel’s quote “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” I feel like the more confidence and class a woman possesses the more beautiful she is to both men and women and the more respect she will gain from her peers. Some may roll their eyes or think me to be cliche when I encourage women to dress for themselves and what makes them feel beautiful rather than dress how they think other people will find attractive or sexy. After all, “sexy” is when a woman has everything

If you have been following me on Facebook or Instagram this week you know that The Boss and I are vacationing in the Cayman Islands courtesy of Infusionsoft. I am so proud of Bret for working his little tush off at work for the last year and that he was able to win this trip. He most definitely deserves it and I am just excited I get to benefit from his hard work in such an exciting way! I thought that since so many of you have had questions about what I am wearing and using during the trip I should

Through lots of tears, sweat and time I am so very happy to reveal the new look of my website and blog. As you have most likely discovered by now I took down my headbands and closed my shop (till further notice) and will be focusing on my styling and consulting in 2013. I know it’s kind of cheating but for me, 2013 has officially started in February. I am the type of person who can’t focus or move forward if I have major projects that aren’t finished. Everyone looks forward to a fresh start at

Hope your are having a happy New Year so far in 2013! I feel like the new year officially starts for me this week since I was out of town and finishing up major projects for the majority of last week. Before I can really crack down and focus on the new year though I like to reminisce about all the good times from the year before, so here’s my quick insta-recap of 2012 through my Instagram feed.
1. First attempt at a faux hawk on my pixie cut. Liked it enough to keep it going all year long.
