Through lots of tears, sweat and time I am so very happy to reveal the new look of my website and blog. As you have most likely discovered by now I took down my headbands and closed my shop (till further notice) and will be focusing on my styling and consulting in 2013. I know it’s kind of cheating but for me, 2013 has officially started in February. I am the type of person who can’t focus or move forward if I have major projects that aren’t finished. Everyone looks forward to a fresh start at the beginning of the new year but my fresh starts begins with a new office (nearly finished) and this new website. I really wanted my website to reflect the new focus of Whippy Cake and I wanted a clean and bright studio to work in, a space to inspire me and motivate me. Ultimately, I wanted both to mirror my 2013 One Little Word which is “lovely“. Mission accomplished! I finally am feeling like I can get pumped for 2013 and get my “lovely” on.
I know a lot of people were pretty sad and some even devastated when I made the announcement about closing up shop. I don’t want anyone to be sad or disappointed and I hope you will all soon see that without the time and energy suck of the headbands I will be able to do so much more with my family, friends and Whippy Cake. I hope to finally be on top of the world instead of always feeling like the weight of the world is on top of me. The absolute best part is I have every intention of using my added free time to bring you non stop product and styling advice, new hair and makeup tutorials a plenty, and of course I will have more time to take on new clients and offer more services. Eeeik! I get excited just thinking about all the possibilities!
Thanks for always sticking around to back me up with all the many changes and growing pains over the years. I really hope you like the new look of things and that you will go take a look around the site and tell me what you think.

Good for you!! I am super excited about the direction you are heading!! I have been working on opening my own shop and one of the main things I am planning on selling are headbands. And I just have to tell you that ever since I found your website last year, you were a HUGE inspiration to me! You had/have such lovely taste and style that I knew I wanted to make/create hair pieces as stylin’ as yours! So good luck to you and enjoy that extra family time!!
