what i wore [LoLo]

Sup ladies, how are all my internet besties? I thought I better make an appearance on the blog before the end of January…. I’m cutting it super close I know considering it’s almost midnight on January 31st but clearly I’ve inherited some habits from my mom… among other things.  I’m sorry I haven’t been available to bestow more of my fashion advice and wardrobe choices upon you. I have been recovering from the holidays. Santa gave me 5lbs of candy in my stocking and my parents practically let me eat it all in one day. There was almost no recovering from the crash after that sugar high. On top of that I’ve been far too busy playing with my toys or rather not playing with my toys but scattering them across our house  routinely and decoupaging the walls, furniture and people with any stickers I can get my hands on. That’s just how I do. Other than that things are pretty much the same with me, I still like to experiment with clothing and I am just as spicy as ever, maybe even more because I’m about to turn 3 and with age comes more attitude. I still talk like I am 30 and I still sneak the occasional makeup fix from mommy’s vanity (she’s the one who hasn’t installed the child proof locks, that’s her bad). We did get a new baby at our house or should I say Cookie? I’m not here or there with her unless she cuts in on snuggle time with my parents or if I get in trouble for trying to squeeze her newborn headbands on my head. What? My head isn’t that big! Baby Cookie has no idea how to dress yet but I suppose that’s because she has committed to puke or poop on (usually both) everything we put on her so now mommy just keeps her in a boring onesie all day and then swaddles her in a million burp clothes and bibs. One word, yuck. I’m just rambling now… I know you don’t want to hear about a tiny, squishy, sleeping little baby.

I’ve been saving one of my outfits from our holiday vacay to share with you. My mom got me this beanie from Wal-mart (bleh) but it’s soft and pink and HELLO a Carebear hat with ear flaps so I wear it proudly. (Curse you mom for targeting my weakness!) For at least the first week I couldn’t take this hat off. I would wear it to sleep and wake up wearing it just in time for breakfast. Some accessories are just perfect no matter the time or the meal. Am I right girls? Where I live there is never a practical need for warm hats or clothes because it’s hot as hello kitty up in here. However, when we went to visit grandma I knew I was justified in arranging all my outfits around my Carebear hat. Here are some snap shots mommy took of me just before we went and cut down our Christmas tree at Thanksgiving. Isn’t there just something about a pettiskirt that just “works” over denim? It’s warm and totally toddler high fashion! One of my favorite things about this ensemble (besides the hat of course) is the petticoat that’s at least one size too small over my rainbow striped thermal shirt. Don’t rainbows and Carebears together just give you goose bumps all over? If they don’t go get checked out by a physician to make sure you still have a heart. Just sayin, rainbows are awesome. Did I mention that my Carebear hat is totally transitional? You can pretty much wear it 20 different ways (see images below). My favorite way is backwards so I have an extra pair of eyes in the back of my head to creep out the people behind me. Finally,  I went on the safe side with my shoes. Let’s not pretend that boots aren’t totally predictable but give a girl a break, it was cold and I was on vacation not at the Golden Globe Awards! It’s not like I could very well wear my seeping booty (sleeping beauty) slippers in the snow. So there is my breakdown of my favorite winter outfit to date. I hope you come back soon to check out what I wear next time.
